What we do
What we do
We run and fundraise for the UAY School Fees Fund, an education fund for children between the ages of 13 – 19 undergoing secondary and high school in boarding schools in Zimbabwe, children who would otherwise be prevented from going to school due to hardships faced by their families or guardians as a result of HIV/AIDS. We engage ourselves and others to raise money by taking on various activities.
Our focus is on keeping or sending students to boading schools. Although it reduces the number of children we can support at any one time, we believe that supporting children in going to boarding schools gives them a break from what may usually be a horrendously stressful situation at home, where they become full-time carers of very sick parents and have little or no time to go to school at all.

Although this is not a core activity of our organisation, from time to time we also source for Computer equipment for the schools that we support. On the computers that we receive, we test to see that they all work, that they are of good standards and then make sure we install Microsoft Office as a basic package on the systems.
